Large successful manufacturer of flexible and converted films has an immediate need at its Wisconsin Facility

Need:

  • Experience working closely with commercial and operations personnel
  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in the Product Development/R&D field
  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Established track record of developing new products from concept to commercialization working in a team environment
  • Fundamental understanding of film and laminate processes and products
  • Excellent analytical skills required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • Strong planning/organizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate/present findings to a wide variety of audiences
  • Knowledge and use of problem solving techniques and DOE experimentation methods
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills aimed at capturing the Voice of the Customer and Critical to Quality attributes
  • Ability to supervise, coach, mentor and perform other functions associated with leading and managing a group
  • Ability to work independently as needed

Duties:

  • Manage the Personal Care/Medical development Group and associated product development engineers in their day to day work activities.
  • Work closely with Product Management, the Commercial Team and customers to identify new product opportunities, capture Critical to Quality (CTQ) attributes and translate such to development programs
  • Report on a recurring basis with respect to development programs; formulate customer and management presentations; and communicate key milestones in regard to all programs and initiatives.
  • Work closely with the VP, Product Development on divisional and corporate initiatives
  • Initiate development programs and demonstrate feasibility by generating samples and data
  • Identify and share best practices
  • Develop and implement key metrics for the product development group
  • Build collaborative processes between functional groups
  • Lead, train, coach and mentor staff
