Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Salary: 90k-100k

DUTIES:

We are expanding our market, our facility and our management team. Interface with all levels of the organization which includes operations, maintenance, project teams, technology, sales and marketing. We offer an attractive compensation package for degreed engineers with at least 5 years of experience as a process engineer

  • Daily support of safe, high quality, and efficient operations.
  • Development of process and quality improvement projects.
  • Scope and support capital upgrades.
  • Conduct new product development experiments.
  • Develop improved film processes.
  • Analyze raw materials for quality issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct manufacturing and customer trials.
  • Ensure product testing meets customer requirements
  • Interface with operations, maintenance, reliability, projects, and safety personnel
  • Provide technical direction and support to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Effectively lead and manage portions or major capital improvement projects.
  • Project management; costs, time line, materials, schedules, budgets, for the purpose of ensuring corporate objectives are achieved within budget and timeframes and in compliance with established requirements.

Required Skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities include:

  • Flexible Films process and application knowledge.
  • Expertise in a major application field such as coating, packaging machine operations, label dispensing, die cutting, sheeting, and other related technologies.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking.
  • Statistical Knowledge: SPC, Regression Analysis, ANOVA, DOE, etc.
  • Polymer science or polymer engineering training or experience.
  • Knowledge of extrusion, web handling / winding.
  • Ability to creatively apply engineering principles to solve problems.
  • Ability to solve real time manufacturing issues.
  • Ability to work productively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work productively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.

Required Experience:

  • Chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering degree.
